Copper Catalysts For Oxygen Removal

RCI supplies Copper Catalysts used for oxygen removal by Chemisorption.  These catalysts work by reaction of O2 at active copper sites on the catalyst, with the O2 trapped in the form of copper oxide.  Trace levels of Oxygen can be polished down to low-ppb levels, in both gases and liquids.  The catalysts are generally supplied in oxide form and must first be activated by reduction (e.g. with 1-2% H2, balance N2, at around 200 degC).  Periodically, when oxygen uptake diminishes, the catalysts can be regenerated in similar fashion, and can perform for many such cycles.

GetterMax 100 Series

The GetterMax 100 series is RCI's specialty line of copper catalysts for O2 chemisorption. With high densities and a large capacity for O2, these products are ideal for removing trace amounts of oxygen for long periods of time before they require regeneration.

BASF Copper Catalysts

Research catalysts also stocks BASF copper catalysts designed for oxygen removal.
